When is the best time for a 3D ultrasound?
The ideal window for a 3D/4D ultrasound is between 26 and 32 weeks. At this stage, your baby has developed enough fat to see facial features clearly, and there’s still enough room for good movement and fluid for clearer images.
However, we offer 3D ultrasounds throughout pregnancy. Early scans (around 14–20 weeks) are great for gender reveals and seeing your baby’s form. Later scans (33–36 weeks) can still show great detail, depending on position and fluid levels.
